Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

EFFECTIVE 10 JULY 2026 · mAIb TECH LLC (DELAWARE, USA)

1. Terms of Service

1.1 Who we are

Locs ("the Software") is governed private AI infrastructure developed and licensed by mAIb Tech LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("mAIb Tech", "we", "us"). Locs is powered by AOS-1, mAIb Tech's agentic operating system for AI governance.

1.2 Enterprise licensing

Locs is enterprise software licensed exclusively under a signed agreement between mAIb Tech and the licensee organization. These website terms govern your use of this website and of evaluation materials; where a signed enterprise agreement exists, that agreement prevails over these terms for the licensed deployment.

1.3 Permitted use

Subject to your organization's agreement, Locs may be used only: (a) within the licensed environment, (b) by authorized users under the role model configured by your administrators, and (c) in compliance with applicable law, including telecommunications, data-protection, and export regulations that apply to your organization.

1.4 AI output is advisory

Advisory-only output. Locs produces decision-support answers grounded in your organization's approved knowledge. Its output is advisory, is labelled with confidence and risk indicators, and requires human review. Locs is designed so that it cannot execute changes on production systems; humans remain responsible for every operational action. You must not rely on Locs output as the sole basis for decisions affecting production systems, customers, safety, revenue, or regulatory obligations.

1.5 Acceptable use

You must not: attempt to bypass the governance controls (approval workflows, role permissions, redaction, the outbound governance gate, or the kill switch); use the Software to process data your organization is not lawfully entitled to process; probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of a deployment you are not authorized to assess; or misrepresent Locs output as human-authored where disclosure is required by law or policy.

1.6 Eligibility and evaluation use

This website and all evaluation materials are directed at businesses and business users. Locs is not offered to consumers, and evaluation access may be granted, conditioned, or withdrawn by mAIb Tech at its discretion. You represent that you are acting on behalf of an organization and are authorized to bind it.

1.7 Feedback

If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about Locs, you grant mAIb Tech a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use them without restriction or obligation to you. Feedback never includes your organization's data — do not send us knowledge-base content, credentials, or personal data, and note that our support processes instruct against it.

1.8 Export control and sanctions

The Software incorporates cryptographic functionality and may be subject to U.S. export controls (including the Export Administration Regulations) and sanctions programs. You may not use, export, re-export, or transfer the Software in violation of applicable export-control or sanctions law, or make it available to any restricted party or embargoed territory.

1.9 Intellectual property

The Software, its documentation, and the Locs brand (including the locked-core mark and the product marks Locs Core, Locs Bridge, Locs Evidence, Locs Bundles, and Locs Telecom) are the property of mAIb Tech LLC. AOS-1 and the AOS-1 logo are trademarks of mAIb Tech LLC. Your organization retains all rights in its own data, documents, and knowledge processed by the Software; we claim no ownership of licensee content. Typefaces used on this website (IBM Plex Sans, Inter, JetBrains Mono) are used and self-hosted under the SIL Open Font License and remain the property of their respective owners.

1.10 Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THIS WEBSITE AND ALL EVALUATION MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WITHOUT LIMITING SECTION 1.4, mAIb TECH DOES NOT WARRANT THAT ANY AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY OPERATIONAL DECISION.

1.11 Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (a) mAIb TECH WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM THIS WEBSITE OR EVALUATION USE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY; AND (b) mAIb TECH'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM THIS WEBSITE OR EVALUATION USE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US$100). FOR LICENSED DEPLOYMENTS, WARRANTIES, SERVICE LEVELS, INDEMNITIES, AND LIABILITY LIMITS ARE EXCLUSIVELY THOSE STATED IN THE SIGNED ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED BY LAW, INCLUDING FOR FRAUD OR WILFUL MISCONDUCT.

1.12 Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold harmless mAIb Tech and its officers, employees, and agents from third-party claims arising out of your breach of these terms, your misuse of evaluation materials, or your violation of applicable law, except to the extent caused by mAIb Tech's own wilful misconduct.

1.13 Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate website or evaluation access immediately for breach of these terms or where required by law. Sections 1.7 and 1.9–1.16 survive termination. Termination of a licensed deployment is governed by the enterprise agreement, including its data-return and deletion terms.

1.14 Changes to these terms

We may update these website terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date at this address. Material changes will be indicated by the version number below. Continued use of the website after the effective date constitutes acceptance. Signed enterprise agreements are never modified by website postings.

1.15 General

These terms are the entire agreement between you and mAIb Tech regarding the website and evaluation materials, and supersede prior communications on that subject. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect and the provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms without our written consent; we may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control.

1.16 Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, excluding its conflict of law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The state and federal courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from this website or evaluation use, and each party consents to their jurisdiction. Disputes arising from a signed enterprise agreement are resolved as specified in that agreement.

2. Privacy Policy

2.1 The short version

Locs is built on a simple privacy premise: your data stays in your environment. The Locs appliance runs on your infrastructure. mAIb Tech has no access to your prompts, documents, tickets, knowledge base, or answers, and the appliance does not transmit them to us.

2.2 What the appliance processes — under your control

Within your deployment, Locs processes the content your administrators choose to ingest (documents, tickets, runbooks), user account data configured by your administrators (name, work email, roles), and operational logs including a tamper-evident audit trail. For this processing, your organization is the data controller and mAIb Tech is not a processor — the software runs entirely under your control. Sensitive identifiers are detected and redacted before content enters the AI knowledge base, and credentials are blocked from ingestion entirely.

2.3 What leaves the appliance

By default: nothing. If your administrators enable the External Intelligence Bridge, only sanitized, human-approved, cryptographically signed generic requests leave the environment, with a reviewable diff and redaction proof; air-gap mode disables even that path. If your organization opts into the AOS-1 trust plane, signed execution receipts (governance metadata, not content) may be submitted to evidence your governance posture.

2.4 What we collect on this website: nothing

This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking of any kind, embeds no third-party scripts, and makes no requests to any third-party service — all assets, including typefaces, are served from our own infrastructure. Our web server keeps standard, short-lived access logs (IP address, requested URL, user agent) for security and capacity purposes only. If you email us, we keep your correspondence to respond and to maintain business records.

2.5 Legal bases (GDPR)

Where the GDPR applies to data we hold as a vendor (business contact details and correspondence), we process it on the bases of legitimate interests (responding to inquiries, operating and securing our website, marketing our services to business contacts) and, where relevant, performance of or steps toward a contract. We do not use automated decision-making about individuals and we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act.

2.6 Retention

Server access logs are retained for no more than 90 days. Business correspondence is retained for as long as needed for the relationship and applicable legal or accounting obligations, then deleted. Appliance data retention is governed entirely by your organization's configuration.

2.7 International transfers

mAIb Tech is a US company; correspondence you send us is processed in the United States. Appliance data is not transferred anywhere — it remains on your organization's infrastructure in the location your organization chooses.

2.8 Your rights

For appliance data, exercise data-subject rights with your employer, who controls the deployment. For data we hold about you as a business contact, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection by writing to support@maib.io; we respond within the timelines applicable law requires. If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

2.9 Children

This website and the Software are business tools not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

2.10 Changes to this policy

We will post any revision at this address with an updated effective date and version number. Material reductions in the protections described here will be highlighted at the top of this page for 30 days.

2.11 Security

The measures we build into the product — deterministic secret blocking, redaction before embedding, role-partitioned retrieval, two-key approvals, hash-chained WORM audit, signed updates and evidence, and a global kill switch — are described in the trust controls section and the Locs security documentation. Report suspected vulnerabilities to support@maib.io with "SECURITY" in the subject line; we acknowledge security reports within two business days and ask that you practice coordinated disclosure.
